Payment of interest (personal account):

Interest will be paid gross, which means interest is paid to you without tax being deducted from it. Any tax due on the interest you earn is paid by you directly to the Australian Taxation Office. For more information please see the latest Government information, or visit the the ATO website  .

Notice period:

93 days.

Withdrawals:

Send us a signed withdrawal form to withdraw your money and you’ll receive it at the end of your chosen notice period.

Paying money in:

Deposits can be made by electronic transfer from your nominated account only. From the day we confirm your account is open you have a funding period in which to fund it, with one deposit or several. Additional credits can be made by electronic transfer from your nominated account.

Number of account holders:

Up to two for personal accounts.

How we calculate interest:

Interest is calculated daily and added to your account quarterly following month end in March, June, September and December and on closure of your account. There is no bonus interest payable.

Can Charity Bank change the interest rate?

The interest rate is managed and may be altered in accordance with Section 9 Changes to interest rates of our Terms for personal savers.

Managing your account:

You can manage your account by post and email or if registered via our mobile banking app. We can answer any questions directly, over the phone or via secure message if registered via our mobile banking app.
